At last year's Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham, I came across the Interfit lighting stand, and immediately was super impressed with their tech. One of the standouts was the Badger Unleashed - a light that I've mentioned in a previous blog post as rapidly becoming a firm staple in my kit.
Portable, lightweight, battery operated yet still powerful - this little light allows me to make the most of the space I have available, sync easily with the rest of my kit, and avoid being tethered to the plug socket with wires.
I'm so stoked that Interfit are again running a competition to win one of these wonderful little lights, and the entry is easy! Head over to their wonderful Creative Pro Matt's Instagram and follow the simple steps!

In the meantime, here's one of my recent favourites with a single light setup using just the Badger Unleashed:
I used the following settings for this photo:
Shot at 42mm
Using the Badger as the main light source, I used a large octabox modifier facing at around 45 degrees to Sherelle, positioned quite close to her so I got that lovely soft detail, and then picked up the sharper detail on the wonderful corsetry by Royal Black. To make sure I didn't have too much in terms of shadow on the right hand side of the image, I simply used a massive reflector leant up at 90 degrees to the background on the right hand side to bounce back some of the light - so the overall setup looked as follows:
Et voila! It's a super simple setup, but one I find myself frequently using when I want a shot that really just showcases the simple beauty of the styling! As usual, if you have any questions just leave me a quick comment below, or feel free to check out some of my other blog posts and work.
